Urgent: Contact your Senators today on tax reform

The Senate is set to vote as early as today on tax reform legislation that would repeal key aspects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Write your Senators now and urge them to oppose any repeal of the individual mandate.

The Senate plan would repeal the ACA's individual mandate, leaving as many as 13 million low- and middle-income Americans without insurance over the next decade, including five million individuals now receiving Medicaid. It would also cause premiums to rise by about 10 percent for most of the next decade – costs that people living with paralysis (or anyone) should not be forced to endure. This loss of coverage would affect many individuals, and put coverage out of financial reach for far too many Americans.

When combined with the reduced tax deductions in the House bill, the coverage losses will be devastating to the disability community.

Please contact your Senators today and urge them to vote against any bill that repeals the individual mandate. It will take just a few minutes, but could make a tremendous difference.
