Organization and Position Summary:
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury (SCI) by advancing innovative research and improving quality of life for individuals and families impacted by paralysis. The Reeve Foundation is a pioneer in the field of spinal cord injury (SCI) research and has funded $140 million in the laboratories of key thought leaders around the world. The Foundation is committed to building on the findings of decades of research and developing therapies that bring meaningful solutions to people with SCI. Its National Paralysis Resource Center provides the most comprehensive knowledge, tools, and services for individuals impacted by paralysis through dedicated Information Specialists, a substantial Quality of Life Grants Program, Peer & Family Support Program, Military and Veterans Program, Racial and Health Equity initiatives and Advocacy program
About the Role:
Today, we seek a Digital Associate who will work with the marketing-communications team to help execute the digital content strategy, maintain the Foundation’s website, oversee social media networks and provide real-time insights and opportunities to improve key performance measurements. Working with all departments, this position involves content and asset creation, education on current trends, and collaborating with team members to grow digital presence and maintain the Reeve Foundation digital voice and tone.
The Digital Associate monitors, and measures engagement across Reeve Foundation digital properties, including all websites and social media profiles. This position requires constant monitoring of all community channels to identify and engage passionate community advocates, drive traffic and loyalty, and work with the communications team to conceptualize and execute digital campaigns.
The Digital Associate will use social media to focus on communications, promotions, listening, and engagement with current and potential audiences and donors, influencers, brand partners, and industry leaders on our social media channels.
Additionally, they are responsible for performing job duties, interacting with community and coworkers and managing self in a manner consistent with, and in support of, the organization’s mission and core values.
Major Responsibilities
- Collaborates with agencies, writers, designers, and other vendors to deliver superb content through a variety of evolving social media platforms
- Collaborate on all facets of digital and social media strategy from ideation to execution and metrics
- Manage an Editorial Calendar for social media and digital campaigns that works cohesively with other marketing and communications efforts.
- Publishing & Promotions on social media by creating original content specific to social media channels, and promoting other work such as videos on YouTube channel, fundraising campaigns, etc.
- Increase Engagement on social media by managing direct messages and post comments, interacting with followers and followed accounts, ambassadors and brand partners.
- Listening across social media for conversations, trends, and opportunities around paralysis and spinal cord injury topics.
- Marketing and Communications: Support, contribute and provide feedback on all marketing & communications including website, blog posts, digital and print advertising, cultivation and fundraising e-mail marketing.
- Analytics Reporting to increase followers, reach, activity, and engagement.
- Monitor benchmarks for measuring the impact of Reeve Foundation digital and social media outreach; analyze and review effectiveness of campaigns to guide and evolve ongoing social media strategy, including weekly and monthly analytics tracking to demonstrate increased engagement
- Research and stay abreast of digital trends and social media behaviors to share knowledge with team
- Remain educated on emerging social media channels
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree and 1-3 years’ experience or equivalent combination
- Experience working on a digital team for a non-profit, corporate or agency
- Project management skills
- Experience supporting marketing/digital campaigns
- Basic knowledge of web accessibility and data privacy standards

Language Skills
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Correct use of grammar and writing style as appropriate for content, message and audience
Computer/Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Google web tools (Analytics, Data Studio and Google Ads)
- Strong working knowledge of third-party social media tools
- Strong working knowledge of HTML
- Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with and strong working knowledge with CMR, CMS (particularly HubSpot) and various website maintenance platforms
- Experience and proficiency with Canva
Travel: Approximately 10% travel may be required
Physical Demands/Office Environment:
This position is primarily a sedentary role but will have periods of physical activity. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to liaise with internal staff, access files, office machinery and a copy machine/printer. As stated above, the position involves minimal travel.In addition, this person will need to be able to set up live events, including exhibit booths, stages for presenters and displays.They will need to be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
