Community, family and caregiver support
Our nation's policies need to support families living with disability and keep them together whenever possible. It’s critical to advocate for programs that are focused on caregivers and families impacted by paralysis.
We support caregiver programs like the National Family Caregiver Support Program and Lifespan Respite Care Program.
HCBS offer support that enable people with disabilities to live in their homes or communities rather than nursing homes.
Parents living with paralysis face discrimination in adoption, child welfare, custody determination and other areas of parenting.
