Why did you become a peer mentor? I want to help people get through the traumatic changes easier. I wish I had a mentor after my accident because there was nobody to really talk to, other than doctors or therapists. I wanted to talk to someone who could help me understand what to expect, what my life was going to be like, and what my daily activities would be. By having a mentor, you get straight and real answers, good or bad. I've created worksheets and other useful documents to help my peers conquer paralysis on a daily basis.
