Presenter Perks

The National Paralysis Resource Center has been providing resources, programs, and support for people living with paralysis, families, caregivers, health professionals and all those impacted by paralysis for more than 20 years. Presenters at our 2026 Summit receive a multitude of perks, including:

  • Free registration
  • Access to thought leaders and other like-minded organizations/community members
  • Networking with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s staff and leadership
  • Being among an accomplished roster of past speakers such as Judy Heumann, Ali Stoker, Tiffany Yu, Imani Barbarin, Wesley Hamilton, Dr. Feranmi Okanlami, Senator Tom Harkin, Will Reeve, Robin Roberts, and Leon Ford


What We’re Looking For 

The call for sessions is open to speakers whose proposed topics align with the 2026 theme: Today’s Innovation. Tomorrow’s Impact. Sessions should thoughtfully address the needs, independence, priorities, and access considerations of people living with paralysis, as well as their caregivers and families. We also welcome sessions designed for healthcare professionals, community-based paralysis programs at the local, state, or federal level, and those engaged in paralysis-related research and therapeutic product development.  

We are particularly interested in proposals that address the following subject areas:

  • Caregiving
  • Mental Health
  • Research/Treatments
  • Advocacy
  • Employment
  • Supporting Veterans
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Accessible Housing
  • Accessible Travel
  • Financial Wellbeing/Navigating Benefits
  • Accessible Education
  • Independent Living/Home and Community Based Services


Important Dates and Deadlines

Please note that deadlines will be communicated with speakers once accepted.

Summit Speaker submissions are due January 30, 2026, for consideration.

Anyone submitting a proposal to present is asked to keep the conference dates available until notified of the status of their proposal. If selected to be a presenter, you must agree to the following:
