We are committed to ensuring that all attendees can fully engage and participate in every aspect of Reeve Summit 2026.
The event will feature accessible venues, ASL interpretation for those who request in advance, live captioning, and other accommodations to ensure a welcoming experience for everyone, regardless of ability. If additional support is needed, we encourage attendees to reach out in advance so we can provide the necessary resources.
We have taken the following steps to create an accessible environment.
Venue Accessibility
Our venue is fully wheelchair accessible, featuring wide doorways, ramps, elevators, and accessible restrooms. Clear signage will be displayed throughout to guide attendees.
The Sheraton Boston Hotel has set aside a number of ADA rooms within the Reeve Summit room block, available first-come, first-served. All rooms must be reserved with the hotel by April 13, 2026. Please request early to ensure your needs are met.
Attendees who need an ADA room should call the Sheraton’s Group Housing Team at (617) 236-6164 (calls answered 8am-5:30pm ET) and ask to speak to Ashley Smith or LaTarsha Whittaker. Attendees should make sure to mention the Reeve Summit room block. Ashley and LaTarsha can also be reached by email at:
Please note that ADA rooms are not guaranteed — they are based on availability. All hotel room reservations are handled directly by the hotel.
Communication Access
Sessions will include ASL interpreters if requested in advance, as well as closed captioning. Conference materials are available in alternative formats upon request. Please indicate your communication access needs when registering for the Summit.
Sensory Considerations
We recognize that loud noises, bright lights, and fragrances can be overwhelming for some attendees. While we cannot entirely control these and other aspects of the environment, we encourage attendees to take breaks as needed and prioritize self-care. We also ask everyone to be mindful of fragrance use, as it may affect others.
Support Services
For those with service animals, please see the FAQ for the relief area details. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, notify us during your Summit registration so we can make sure your needs are met.
Masking and Sanitation
We encourage all attendees to participate in ways that make them feel safe. The Summit is a mask-friendly event, and we will have masks available and hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue.
These measures are in place to ensure a welcoming, accessible experience for all. If you have any questions about accessibility at the Reeve Summit, please email us at [email protected].
The Administration for Community Living (ACL) has made it possible for the National Paralysis Resource Center (NPRC) to offer a limited number of scholarships to individuals living with paralysis and one caregiver traveling with each individual.
Each individual scholarship will cover full registration to the Summit. Registration includes all access to Summit sessions, keynote presentations, networking events, and receptions that will take place from May 6th to May 8th, 2026, at the Sheraton Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition, we will reimburse scholarship recipients up to $1500 pending receipts for flights, mileage, and hotel.
Scholarship recipients are required to be present for the entirety of the Summit program.
Scholarships will be based on funding availability, as well as an assessment of mission-fit need. Preference will be given to first-time attendees of the Reeve Summit. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is February 20, 2026. We will notify scholarship applicants of their status by March 10, 2026.

The annual Reeve Summit is the premier event for individuals impacted by paralysis, including family members, caregivers, policymakers, and community members. It brings together thought leaders, advocates, and changemakers, providing opportunities to learn, connect, and inspire action.
Since its inception, the Reeve Summit has featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including the late disability and civil rights icon Judy Heumann; disability rights activist Imani Barbarin; Tony Award-winning actress Ali Stroker; Wesley Hamilton, founder and CEO of Disabled But Not Really; Dr. Feranmi Okanlami of the University of Michigan; Former Senator Tom Harkin; Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts; and author and disability advocate Leon Ford.
