Why did you become a peer mentor? Throughout the course of my recovery/adjustment to being a paraplegic, I have been incredibly blessed by the support, care and understanding of others. I hope to be able to allow those gifts to flow through me and be a source of support to someone else. Simply knowing that you are not alone in your circumstances, but rather share it with others, can be healing in itself.
