Adam M.

Adam M.

Age: 36

Location: Missouri

Injury or relation:
Spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, T4, T5, T6 for 11 years

Going to physical therapy, working part-time, going back to school, working on my education

Why did you become a peer mentor?
I wanted to try and help someone after being injured to learn to navigate this “new normal” and get used to an adaptive way of living. I never had that myself other than in the hospital doing therapy, and I think it’s important to have that support system once a person is back home.
