Dan Koch

Age: 72

Location: Maryland

Injury or relation:
Spinal cord injury, C5-C7 Incomplete for 10 years

Travel; returning to work; exercise; SCI advocacy; competitive bridge tournaments (duplicate bridge, online or in person)

Why did you become a peer mentor?
My wife and I have learned so much over the years, and we feel we could accelerate the transition to an acceptable (or at least better) status of living with a spinal cord injury at home, especially. I returned to work for five years (half-time) and that was a particularly valuable experience, for example, that I would encourage. And if anyone shares my interests, we’d have a lot to talk about.
