Why did you become a peer mentor?
Life will take unexpected turns for everyone and it comes down to how you decide to handle it. The strength from within will guide your mindset to continue to reach goals. I was paralyzed seven-years ago. A car in the opposite lane hit a deer and that deer fell on the windshield of my car as I drove home after work. I have no memory whatsoever about this dark circumstance. I continue to live my life to the fullest and independently use a powered wheelchair. I became a peer mentor to help and encourage fellow peers who seek advice.
