Why did you become a peer mentor? I became a peer mentor because so many others have helped me, and I wanted to “pay it forward.” Even though none of us have exactly the same lives, and none of us have all the answers, we all have experiences to share which will hopefully improve the lives of others with spinal cord injuries. My experience is that it is a long road to recovery, but I have made great progress. You are not alone. If we can help in any way, we are here to make each day better.
