Age: 46

Location: California

Injury or relation:
Wife

Hobbies/Interests:
I love creative writing, live music, horse riding, hiking, travel (Hawaii and Lake Tahoe are two of my favorite places), nature walks, and being an active/present mom with my three young children.

Why did you become a peer mentor?
I believe that community and connection are vital for families affected by spinal cord injury. My husband and I were newly married and expecting our first baby when our world turned upside back in 2010. Thirteen years later, I have accumulated a great deal of firsthand experience to share with others, and as an active member of both national and local SCI groups, I continue to learn and grow through life stages and world changes. I am so grateful and proud of the way my husband and I have navigated life as an SCI family, and I am an open book when it comes to our struggles, our wins, and our daily life experiences.
